Archive
The TOPCALL Archive is a truly unique opportunity for companies to secure, to audit and to store all communications with customers, suppliers and partners. The TOPCALL Archive is an integrated component of all TOPCALL Servers. A single server can store up to 10,000,000 messages when used in conjunction with RAID storage or unlimited capacity when used with jukebox storage. All message types (fax, voice, e-mail, telex, SMS, X.400, etc.) are secured independently of the mail server. Your company need never worry that the mail server has lost mission-critical information. Additionally, the archive secures against data loss from accidentally deleted messages or even worse, a departing employee who erases all old messages. With the archive you have all messages, all the time.
The technology is based on our Single Server Platform, making expansion easy. Adding the archive can be done with a simple upgrade of an existing TOPCALL Server.
Security is a main component of the archive solution. All CD/DVD media that is generated from the archive is encrypted (it can only be decrypted by the TOPCALL Server key). Access to messages on the archive is limited through administrator rights.
The greatest advantage to the archive is its ease of use. Users and administrators have a variety of search functions, which make it easy to pin point old messages (over 50 in all when used in conjunction with Boolean searches).
Why invest in TOPCALL's Message Archive?
- Today's mail servers are prone to losing messages either through system failure or lost backups.
- Users are not always taking responsibility for the messages that are sent from their desktops - some of which are legally binding.
- Many industries require archiving of all message transactions - including email and fax.
- Companies are liable for what is sent out from their mail systems and it is essential that this information be best maintained.
Further differentiators
- Alternative format storage makes it possible to maintain message content in its original format (i.e. Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, Novell GroupWise) so that it may be retrieved and sent on exactly as it was created - even many years later.
- OCR (Optical Character Recognition) makes it possible to scan all incoming fax messages so that they may be fully indexed and stored on the archive for later searches.
- All attachments are archived in their original format (i.e. Microsoft Word/Excel).
- Archive searches are done in seconds.
- Archive retrieval is possible via an HTML client.
- Jukebox storage allows for online access to messages even - 10 years back.
- Encrypted CD/DVDs secure the integrity of messages on the archive.
